PSP Hands Free - A Work In Progress
You can visit his website for the book here.
I have owned a PSP for about 2 months now, and love it. Except for one thing. I HATE having to hold the unit when watching movies. I happened to be at Lowes today (its like a Home Depot) and picked up some PVC pipe and a cutter. I came home and made a crude first prototype of my new invention...The PSP Hands Free System. Future enhancements to include battery holder in the tube (AA), internal wiring through the pipe for headphones.
The angles are slightly melted/burned due to overheating them with my blowtorch (kids dont do this without parental supervision)
Now that I am done with prototype, I will be going on to next step, creating prototype #2 :-)

Cool -- I was reminded of those harmonica holders!
BTW, a design such as this might have an interesting additional use for 2-way video. Deaf people are on fire to use sign language with each other on portable devices. But if the camera is far enough away to capture the signs, the display is too small. Something is needed that puts the (external) camera and the display at the right distances and angles.

This is cool. I was going to do a similar apparatus with a bike helmet. If you get a chance, send me an email: I have some questions for you and couldn't find your contact info on site. I'm ck at sampletheweb dot com.
Cheers,
C.K.
