iPhone disappoints wall street - ATT activations are 146,000 for the first 2 days

Reuters is reporting that ATT only activated 146,000 iPhone's in the first 48 hours. This is a large difference between what was rumored to have been sold (yes just rumors) and actual fact.

Of course you could say that the whole iPhone activation fiasco (some people did not get their iPhone activated until after the first 48 hour period) may have played into this.

This has sent AAPL and ATT stock down a bit in trading today.

My take on this is due to the iPhone activation issue, not all purchased phones were able to be activated. I think we need to wait until Apple reports on their quarter to see how many units they actually sold, since from the Reuters article, ATT only reported activations, not units sold?
